  1. #Godfather’s Pizza

In my area, anyway. Nowadays their location has an Asian market complete with live fish swimming in their own poop, but back in the day it was a Godfather’s complete with a buffet. Better than even that, though, was their taco pizza.

Not like say Hungry Howie’s whose wretched attempt at one consisted of a crust smeared with refried beans, no meat, no sauce provided, and a baggie of shredded mild cheddar for me to *heat up this delivery “pizza” myself*.

No, Godfather’s was a complete taco pizza, literally taco fixins on a pizza crust. Lettuce, chopped tomato, cheese, beans, black olives, even real sour cream, all nicely proportioned and actually tasting like a decent taco.

  2. My favorite restaurant is Portillos, which luckily is not closed, but they used to have a secondary restaurant inside of it called Barney’s. They had the best fried chicken. They all closed down though. Sad.

  3. York Steak House. It was in our local mall when I was very little. There weren’t a lot of cafeteria style dining places in our area so baby me thought that was cool. I always wanted the jello cubes because they were perfect.
