  1. It’s hard to choose one. I love Jimmy Carr, Bill Bailey, Sean Lock (RIP), Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Peter Kay, Jack Dee etc

  2. Probably Mark Twain if you mean historically, and they didn’t really have that as a job title at the time. For the title, I’d say Richard Pryor.

  3. For me, it’s Norm MacDonald. Probably because he was the first one I watched back in the early 90s when MTV had a comedy show.

    Edit: skit was about different things than I remember after 30 years…but Norm is still funny as hell.

  4. At his peak, I’d go with Patrice O’ Neal. I cant imagine what success wouldve came his way if it wasnt for his untimely and premature death. One of the biggest what ifs in comedy.

  5. Dave Chappelle. The fact he’s standing up for what’s right and not afraid of getting cancelled is exactly what we need right now. He’s in a league of his own.
