  1. Because I don’t like the feeling of being so utterly alone in the world that I get as an atheist. Having my gods behind me just makes me feel so much safer.

  2. If I die as an atheist I’ll go to hell (if it’s all true) so might as well die and if there’s a chance of Heaven and he’ll, I’ll have a better chance to go to Heaven

  3. A) Let’s be honest, I’m biased. It was how I was raised.

    B) With the size of all of time and space, and the fact that *every single culture* has *some* sort of idea of the supernatural, and the number of people who have encountered some sort of — I believe the technical term is Freaky Shit — as well as some of my own personal experiences, it just doesn’t make sense to me to claim that there isn’t Something out there that we do not can not understand.

    C) True or not, some things are worth believing in.

  4. Two verses specifically come to mind every time…

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,…” (John 6:68)

  5. If there is an afterlife, I want to join my family members in Heaven because I miss them. Religion also helps keep me from making poor decisions that could hurt myself, someone else, or both. There are a lot of good things that are taught in most religions. I’m a non-practicing Catholic at the moment, but despite what my Atheist mom says, I’m Catholic.
