Because, a college degree isn’t required to start your own business, but may be required if you work for someone else.
Er, please don’t listen to Elon Musk
Policies aren’t always created from the very top. Also, people with degrees tend to put more weight into them than those that don’t, and likely they were the ones making the policies.
What degrees do show is at least some level of dedication toward a career. Many times companies will take equivalent experience over degrees.
