  1. After 40 years of utterly shitty periods I had the smoothest menopause with just a few hot flushes here and there, mild ones at that. But I became slower, libido went down and my skin lost elasticity so a nurse friend of mine suggested I look into HRT (which also helps with bone density etc). Appointment for that is the day after tomorrow!

  2. It’s different for every woman. I’m past menopause and I’ve always had problems with hot flashes. Not really a big deal, but some women say..”Oh, I got over that right away.”

    Women will need to make a decision about whether to take hormone replacement therapy. I didn’t and I’ve never regretted it – but – other women would feel differently.

    Basically, it’s kind of a relief! Whew! No more periods and no more worrying about birth control.
