It’s an existential story about change and remaining the same. How a person is formed by external factors continuously from the time they are born until they die, while their ideas and behaviour never stays the same nor do their cells biologically remain what they were when they were born, their name is the only thing they actually have any choice in of keeping it the same. It’s a story about growth in a society where the protagonist feels like he has everything under control only to realise he barely has any control, drops down into depression and nihilism only to rise up against everything and realising that control is an illusion and coming to terms with it.
Rambo tries to start a new life by becoming a retired coffee shop owner. A female influencer tries to get free coffee while “reviewing” his restaurant. He refuses, saying “This is American we pay for our coffee.” She trashes him and his family on social media. Which sets him on a murderous rampage of restaurant influencers.
