TIL while studying flight or fight a biologist grouped guppies in 3 categories “bold” (inspect threat), ordinary (hide), timid (flee). He then put a bass in with the guppies, 40 percent of the timid guppies and 15 percent of the ordinary guppies survived while none of the bold guppies did.

TIL that in 1961 Fender produced the Bass VI, a 6-string electric bass tuned an octave below a regular guitar. Although it was produced for 14 years, it was never popular, and was discontinued in 1975. However, it became a cult hit among bassists and guitarists and was re-released in the mid-2000s.
