TIL “Nimrod” was a biblical figure known for being an mighty hunter. In old Looney Tunes cartoons Daffy Duck makes fun of Elmer Fudd by calling him a “nimrod”. The sarcasm was lost on children leading so many to believe it meant an inept person, that the new meaning has been added to the dictionary.

TIL ‘Mickey Mousing’ describes in animation and film the technique of perfectly syncing sound and actions on the screen. Though not the first cartoon to do so, Walt Disney perfected the technique in the Mickey Mouse short ‘Steamboat Willie’ and changed the way sound was incorporated into cartoons.
