TIL that 21 November 1963, the night before JFK was assassinated, Joseph Campisi (the #2 mafia boss in Dallas) dined with Jack Ruby. Three days later, Ruby stepped out of a crowd and shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald before he could face trial.

A driver stopped the animal and it’s load near the U.S Assay Office in the heart of Wallstreet and disappeared into the crowd. TIL during Hitler’s failed 1923 beer hall putsch, his deputy and later Luftwaffe chief Goring told the crowd held captive in the Munich beer hall they could at least enjoy their beer. The crowd was not happy at that remark. (Source in German)
