TIL that Maat is the ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, harmony and justice. Maat was also the goddess who personified these concepts, and regulated the stars, seasons, and the actions of mortals and the deities who had brought order from chaos at the time of creation.

TIL The Venus de Milo, as a Greek sculpture, would more accurately be called Aphrodite de Milos (Milos is the Greek island where it was discovered). Although it may also be a depiction of the sea goddess, Amphitrite.
