It would cause vomiting, kidney injury, convulsions, and likely death.

TIL a UK punk band called the FF’ers were bottled at the Reading Festival in 2008 after rumours circulated their set was a secret Foo Fighters gig. Their bassist said items thrown included “bottles, shoes, clumps of earth, phones, a full packet of cigarettes (exactly what we needed after the gig)”

TIL that the earliest known writing dates back to around 3000 B.C.E. and was likely invented by the Sumerians in southern Iraq. It was used by temple officials to record the allocation of rations and movement of goods. The earliest texts were pictures (pictographs) of the items being recorded.
