TIL of Wenceslao Moguel, a Mexican soldier fighting for Pancho Villa who was captured and sentenced to death without a trial in 1915. He was shot 9 times in the body and once in the head but managed to survive and live (disfigured) until 1976.

TIL on the JH-7 fighter jet’s maiden flight (12/07/1988), its engines started vibrating so wildly that by the time it reached the airfield, none of its instruments worked anymore since their connections to the panel had all shaken loose. Nonetheless, the pilot managed to land the prototype safely.
