TIL that the three incredible robots in the classic 1970’s science fiction film Silent Running were not robots at all, but were essentially costumes worn by actors who had suffered multiple amputations and could fit in the robot shells and wore them as costumes.

TIL that Clint Eastwood – at the height of his “silent and violent gunslinger” fame – starred in a big-budget western musical called Paint Your Wagon. At nearly 3 hours long, the film was not well reviewed. Eastwood’s song “I Talk to the Trees” was singled out for derision.

TIL If you spam click the on/off button on your Samsung phone it will dial 911 automatically in 10 seconds if you don’t turn it off. It will emit a high volume sound after 6 seconds even with silent on and volume off.
