TIL that during the production of Ghostbusters (1984), the name wasn’t allowed to be used since it was already used by 70’s kids show called “The Ghost Busters.” As a result, there were alternatives names, with one of them being “Ghostsmashers”. Eventually, the studio got the rights to the name.

TIL Daikatana, a video game directed by George Romero was patched 14 years later after it’s hellish and buggy launch, inspite the fact that the studio that made the game (Iron Storm) had been closed for over 9 years. All thanks to the fan community, unfortunately the game still sucks.-

TIL the producer of the Sonic games Yuji Naka was visiting an American studio and said in his native Japanese how he was going to poach their game engine to use for Sonic Adventure. The game was cancelled because most of the development team spoke Japanese and quit on the spot in disgust.
