TIL Berry Oakley, bassist of American rock band “The Allman Brothers Band”, died in a motorcycle accident in 1972, just three blocks from where his fellow bandmate Duane Allman also died in a motorcycle accident the year before. Both Berry and Duane were 24 at the time of their deaths.
