TIL: Danny Antonucci, creator of the universally-acclaimed “Ed, Edd & Eddy”, had an earlier animated series on MTV, “The Brothers Grunt”. It lasted only 7 months, and is considered to be one of the worst televisions shows ever made.

In this period, MTV would throw any animated show to its programming schedule to see what would stick… “Liquid Television” is pretty much that. It was cool.

I used to watch that
I have been telling people about that fever-dream of a show for decades and could NOT remember what it was called. I thought it was the brothers nerve or something. Iirc, they were chased by lemons and salt shakers one episode to cause pain since they had so many veins/nerves.
It’s a good show but “universally-acclaimed” might be a stretch.
