TIL Foster’s ‘Australian’ Lager was started by two American brothers in Melbourne, Australia in 1888, was brewed in Canada and the UK for Americans since 1980s, is brewed in Fort Worth, Texas since 2011 and was sued in 2015 for the slogan “Australian for beer” implying it’s an imported beer.

I used to have the opportunity to hang out and drink with a lot of Australians, I’ve never met a single Australian that could stand that piss water.
Many beers are brewed locally, not only Fosters.
In fact, most Australians have never heard of Fosters.
