TIL I learned of Nicholas Wood, a farmer in the 17th century who gained notoriety for his prodigious appetite. He became known as the “Great Eater of Kent” after English poet John Taylor discovered him eating “60 eggs, a good portion of a lamb, and a handful of pies”.

Psh, guy couldn’t even finish one lamb?
Honestly, it sounds more appetizing than like… 150 hot dogs or whatever people do today.
“Poet” was a kindly description of Taylor, but he’s an interesting character in his own right.
Don’t finish the eggs and you spend a night in the box.
An eggman, I like him already
It me
Paul Newman ate 200 eggs.
Sounds like he had consumption

Many a man have succumbed by the hands of an ale soaked load of bread.
