TIL Milk kefir was a guarded secret of the tribes in the Caucasus region. Russians sent a beautiful woman to seduce the Prince of the tribes and obtain kefir grains. The Prince kidnapped the woman, but she was released and compensated by kefir grains. Then, kefir made it to commercial production.
