Said it before and will say it again: dosage matters. And beta-carotene and vitamin E (unlike B vitamins or vitamin C) are stored in fat, so it’s very possible to have overdoses.
It’s always super frustrating when my doctors recommend vitamin supplements. Like A) they’re notoriously unregulated and B) I’m dirt fucking poor and you’re telling me to go buy medicine for a serious illness out of my own pocket.
