TIL that Billy Preston is the only musician, other than one of the Beatles, to be given a credit on a Beatles recording.

The guy who played the trumpet on Penny Lane deserves the same respect.
Unless you count the 1961 recording of “My Bonnie” by Tony Sheridan and The Beatles.
You probably mean Beatles originals, since some recordings are covers (eg Twist and Shout).
aside from studio musicians, eric clapton and billy preston are the only two musicians to record with the beatles.
edit: in terms of Beatles releases, that is.
yeah one of them even talked of bringing him on as a full member but that was quickly quashed since they were in the process of breaking up anyway
