I believe Mr. Burr went nuts after shooting Hamilton and tried to overthrow the government and then when that failed tried to start is own country in the Louisiana territory
Yeah there was something called the Civil Fucking War.
It was a whole thing.
There was also Smedley Butler who exposed an attempted fascist coup in the United States.

Lol, Jan 6th WASN’T an “insurrection”
A podcast called ULTRA showed how just before WWII, the Nazi government of Germany funded and controlled a right wing America First Committee, then, after Pearl Harbor, the America First Party. A bunch of R congress-critters aided in this and were funded by a Nazi agent in the US.
It wasn’t an insurrection at all.. it was a riot/mob…
