Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get away from the carnivorous horse.
They are quite fawned of it.
Deer, and many other animals, love chewing on bones. Good nutrition.
Everything eats meat when it can get it. Another study put game cameras by “gut piles” (a hunter will clean a carcass right where it lies, so the meat cools and it’s easier to carry out) to study claims that they were drawing predators. The cameras found that the piles of viscera were most frequently cleaned up by …. other deer.
Deer, squirrels, horses. A lot of “herbivores” will happily eat other animals when they’re given the chance.
Deer are essentially forest goats. They’ll eat anything.

Herbivores by convenience, I’ve been told.
They even cannibalize their velvet when it sheds from their horns.
Wow. I am officially horrified. I’ll never be able to look at a deer the same
