TIL that Viagra was initially meant made to treat heart diseases. Researchers at Pfizer developed Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, to treat hypertension and Angina Pectoris. After noticing that the drug induced erections, they decided to market it for erectile dysfunction instead.

Yep. And Bob Dole tested it before it was FDA approved
It is also used for pulmonary hypertension.
Viagra can also be used by people to help them breath in high altitudes.
Not sure about Viagra, but Cialis is also marketed for enlarged prostate.
The target market didn’t change, just the marketing did
