To put this into perspective, a 747 is $25k-$30k/hr.
With just 20 planes flying, the ability to amortize fixed costs across the fleet is greatly reduced. If the original plan of 132 aircraft would have come to fruition, the hourly costs would be lower because fixed costs for things like technical order writing and depot maintenance would be spread over 132 units instead of 20.
