This is just one of the many reasons space-battle scenes you see in SciFi movies are impossible and so unrealistic.
Space travel speeds tend to easily be 18,000 mph or much higher. That’s many times faster than a bullet.
Thus, space battle pilots of the future will need some serious optic-nerve augmentation!
Maybe 1/1000000th the speed of Ethernet.
