Today I learned that serial killer Amy Archer-Gilligan, who ran a nursing home and murdered some of the residents, and one of her husbands, was the inspiration behind the Cary Grant movie, “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

Love that movie!
FYI, Arsenic and Old Lace was a play before the movie, and the original cast included Boris Karloff — who was replaced by Erich von Stroheim.
Having said that, I love the movie and watch it every Halloween!
