Today I learned that the Coca-Cola Company is the worlds leading plastic waste producer, using about 200,000 plastic bottles per minute, amounting to about one-fifth of the world’s polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle output. This amounts to 2.9 million tons of plastic waste per year.

And for what? For zero nutritional value. At least for coke not speaking for their other products.
Fallout was correct. So much of it has been made that they could stop production today and we’d still be able to find it 100+yrs later.
Are there many countries left that don’t recycle? Do most people want their deposit back and recycle? Do many throw them into the garbage instead? Maybe everyone could follow japan’s example instead.
