As a resident of *the only holdout state* where I’m told I’m too stupid to pump my own gas legally, I have no opinion.
Obnoxious and stupid, people do NOT NEED MORE FUCKING DISTRACTIONS WHEN HANDLING DANGEROUS SHIT!!!

They’re the absolute worst
I press the buttons until the sound goes off. Usually the 3rd one on the right side.
I see it as tit for tat when I write some shit on the pump.
My favorite gas station doesn’t do that. That’s why it’s my favorite
The gas stations I go to don’t do this… ‘yet’
I enjoy the quiz ones, but besides that I always mute It

I don’t like it, but luckily you can silence the ads if you press the second button from the top on the right side of the screen (at least it works this way in California, not sure about other places)
It annoys me to no end. I will purposely not go to that station if they blare the ads.
Luckily most of the stations around here either turned them way down or quit doing it.
On some pumps you can press one of the buttons beside the screen while pumping to mute it, usually the second down on the right side.
Annoyingly loud. And way to repetitive.
I hate it. There’s nothing I can do about the sound, but I refuse to look at the pumps that have tv screens on them, filled with commercials.
I stop using that gas station, and let them know why I did it.
They don’t bother me and I’m not sure why so many people are sensitive to it
