What if I told my best friend in high school that I had fallen in love with her instead of destroying our friendship 12yrs after graduation by telling her, after she’s gotten married, had kids, and we are both drunk? I’ve learned how to move with my on with life but I still love her every bit as much as I ever have. That was a very dark time in my life the 5yrs that followed. I seen her once after the incident at a going away party for a mutual friend and still had the same butterflies in my stomach as I always did. It was in that moment I knew I could never speak to her again. I left without saying goodbye to her and haven’t seen her since. I have no one to blame but myself. I will always love you Katie.
What if I was born without my disability? My birth parents wouldn’t have to give me up for adoption because they couldn’t afford my surgery and I wouldn’t have been adoped by horrible people for parents.
