TIL about censorship in Turkish media. Alcohol and Tobacco products are blurred out and sometimes covered with a flower. Any forms of kissing or love making is banned amongst other things like mentioning brands.

False. Kissing and making love is not banned. in fact, almost all Turkish tv series have that kind of scenes.
Jokes on them – they are still known for raping men.
With tobacco censorship here in Aus it’s not allowed to broadcast any alcohol or tobacco products at all on TV

It’s weird, we have a lot of Turkish media in Romania and none of these have any kind of consorship. They kiss a lot, have affairs, they both drink and smoke. Are these filmed and then censored for the Turkish audience?
