I wonder if he was inspired by Frank Abagnale, who did similar things in the ‘60s.
Prob a lot easier before someone could check your credentials in real time during an interview. I bet as a cost saving method, a lot of arrogant HR ppl use to believe they could tell from asking “industry” questions if someone was legit, back in the day
