  1. You do not need brains or good looks to be the apex predator that survived extinction level events.

    You just a 2,000 pound bite force and stomach acid that dissolves bones and hooves.

  2. They’re still smart enough to use tools. American alligators have been documented using sticks as bait to catch herons and egrets during their nesting season. The only other species of crocodilian that has been observed to do this is the mugger crocodile.
