TIL: Ancient Athenians had ‘ostracism’ elections in which everyone voted for the most hated citizen. That citizen would then be banished for 10 years.

Names were written on pieces of pottery. Archeologists have discovered that many pieces in the same election were written in the same handwriting, indicating these ostracisms were sometimes rigged.
They should do this for congress

Fantastic idea.
Donald Trump the one election he could legitimately win
It would probably work on smaller scales like towns and villages, but not nations or country’s.
In the end you’ll probably have all those people just move to a bigger nearby city.
