TIL Bernard Herrmann, composer for films like Psycho, Vertigo, Citizen Kane was asked by unknown director Martin Scorsese to compose Taxi Driver. After completing it, Scorsese asked for one final section. Hermann agreed, brought an orchestra in, completed it, and died hours later.
