TIL David Bowie rejected Coldplay’s collaboration request on one song in which they had, according to the band themselves, a “David Bowie-type character” by replying: “It’s not a very good song, is it?”

I’ve always respected Bowie, now I respect him a little more.
And, of course, what could they say? He’s David fucking Bowie. If anyone knows a good song, he was the guy.
I love the David Bowie x NIN performance of HURT, and I’m so glad he passed on Coldplay.
