TIL Ferruccio Lamborghini was drafted into the Italian Royal Air Force in WWII. By 1948, he went on to building affordable tractors. A feud was sparked between Ferrari and Lamborghini which motivated Ferruccio to build his own line of sports cars we know today as Lamborghinis.

    He pissed off Ford so badly we got a bunch of great automobiles as well.
