TIL: “Guerilla Ontology” is a term coined by Robert Anton Wilson. Its purpose is to expose a dogmatic individual to radically unique ideas, thoughts and words. As a consequence, that person will experience cognitive dissonance and have their beliefs about reality challenged.

It’s the kind of amazing idea a really creative person comes up with, but it absolutely does not work. Most of the time the result of that dissonance is to double-down on previous belief system, as we’ve seen so vividly in the US for years now.
