TIL I learned of the 1963 Aeroflot ditching. Similarly to the famous Miracle on the Hudson River, a Tu-124 requesting an emergency landing used up all of its fuel and was unable to reach the prepared runway, instead ‘landing’ on the Neva River, in ‘the middle’ of Leningrad/SankPeterburg
