TIL In 1973 Poland, a group of archaeologists were permitted to open the tomb of King Casimir. During and soon after the examination, several researchers died, and many more died a few years later. The killer was the same as in an Egyptian tomb decades earlier –– a pathogenic fungus.

Thought it was a curse
Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it. Kind of ironic for an archaeologist though
If I ever get the opportunity of visiting a tomb while vacationing, I’m gonna think twice about it.
