TIL in 1980 the FBI formed a fictitious Arabian company and attempted to bribe members of congress during the Abscam operation. Nearly 25% (six members of the House of Representatives and one senator) of those tested accepted the bribe and were convicted.

They should do it again.
I’d be fine if the FBI constantly did this in a lot of public sectors. And no one gets to claim entrapment either.
That’s why they renamed bribery to “lobbying”
