TIL in 1997, the small rural community of Roby, Illinois was the scene of one of the longest single person standoffs in history. An elderly Shirley Allen’s refusal to have her involuntarily committed by her family led to a 39-day standoff with the Illinois State Police and other authorities.

So when she was released did she get her land back?
I am extremely surprised the FBI did not murder a dozen people, and their dog. Like they did at Ruby Ridge and Waco.
