TIL in 2021 Banksy’s partly-shredded painting ‘Love is in the Bin’ was resold for $25.4 million. It originally sold in 2018, in un-shredded form, for $1.4m.

  1. I fail to see the logic in a painting, partially destroyed, becoming *more* valuable than before being shredded.

    This just furthers my theory that the majority of art is merely a money laundering scheme.
