TIL in June 2021, Boryana Straubel, wife of Tesla co-founder J.B. Straubel, was struck and killed while riding a bicycle on a highway shoulder in Nevada. She managed a family foundation that focused on environmental sustainability. The driver of the car that hit her was unlicensed.
