TIL Nebraska passed a “Safe Haven Law” to ostensibly allow infants to be abandoned at certain locations without abandonment charges. However, it had no age cap, so people would abandon teenagers and older kids.

  1. And conservatives oppose government provided child care and abortion. This is the end result. Parents (or parent) who is financially and emotionally over taxed so they take this way out. It can’t be a easy decision.
