Didn’t they partition Germany irl?
Started reading the speculative historical fiction *The Dog King*, by Christoph Ransmayr, which takes place in a Germany under the Morganthau Plan, and I got interested in learning more about the basis of the book (it’s not totally necessary to know more, I just enjoy revisionist historical fiction that’s off the beaten path of “what if the Nazis had won”). It’s dark, but vivid, creative, and insightful. Even just based on the first 60 pages or so, I highly recommend it for historical fiction readers, lovers of European literature (the author is Austrian, I’m reading a translation), and . . . well, readers in general.
The Soviets had a better plan, East and West Germany.
