TIL of the Stockholm Bloodbath, an event occuring after the Danish king Christian II was coronated. With his victory, the aristocracy demanded economic compensation. Nearly 100 aristocrats were killed, with blood running in the streets from all the beheadings.

The accumulation of wealth land and resources in such a act is hard to fathom
