TIL of Yaphank, NY, a town where certain plots of land required the owners to be of German descent and hosted many German-American Bund rallies. The property rules existed into the 2000s, when they were finally sued under Fair Housing doctrine.

The deed to my home when I bought it in 2017, stipulated that I may not have more than 2 non white servants or occupants. Either Negroid or Asianic. It cost me $500 to remove that from the deed….

It’s a weird place with a lot of history. The Siegfried Bund a German – American culture group lived there. They supported Hitler at the beginning of the war, and held a huge Nazi-esque pro Germany rally at Madison Square Garden. The last of Hitlers relatives still live there.
