  1. That makes sense. We always make a big deal when you turn 30, 40, 50 or whatnot. At that point you’re wondering what you’ve done in your life, you want to do something big, or you realize how unhappy you are

  2. Honestly, it would never occur to me but it totally makes sense (to me).

    You’re coming up on a new decade (of ages) in your life, feeling a mid-life/later-in-life crisis, and worried that life is slipping by so you try to either try to live for the moment and take advantage of it or you’re so depressed you end it (in combination with other factors that would cause one to want to end it).
