TIL Regina Canada was originally called “pile of bones” because of the massive number or buffalo bones that were stacked there. Some piles were over 30’ high.

  1. Another fun fact: the name of the city is not pronounced like the more common woman’s name, but rather with a long ‘I’ in the second syllable.
